Human Resources Specialist (Benefits and Payroll)
Join Dynamis, Inc. as a Human Resources Specialist (Benefits and Payroll) to administer federal benefits programs and coordinate payroll actions.
Responsibility
Advise employees on federal benefits programs and leave policies.
Process benefits elections, payroll adjustments, and manage open enrollment.
Coordinate retirement packages and benefit plan changes throughout the year.
Resolve employee benefit inquiries and maintain accurate benefit records.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws (e.g., ACA, ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA).
Reconcile payroll and benefits invoices, including COBRA enrollments, 403(b) contributions, and FSA/HSA accounts.
Prepare and file required reports such as ACA filings and benefits audits.
Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship.
5+ years of experience in benefits administration and payroll management.
Successful completion of a DHS Public Trust background check.
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
Deep understanding of employee benefits and strong Excel skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) highly preferred.
Benefits Competitive salary $90,000.00–$125,000.00, Arlington, VA. Full‑time position.
