Early-Career Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist

to join our environmental site investigation or due diligence practice in

Seattle, or Bellingham, Washington . Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Supporting projects involving due diligence with substantial historical research, including ASTM-compliant Phase I Environmental Site Assessments and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments.

Supporting environmental compliance services, such as compliance audits and reviews (multi-media).

Supporting site characterization and remediation projects.

Fieldwork such as soil, vapor/air, surface water, and groundwater sampling, drilling and contractor oversight, and remediation system O&M.

Developing compliance documents and permit applications associated with the Clean Air Act (CAA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).

Developing task, project, and client management skills.

Data evaluation, including preparing maps, tables, and figures.

Support preparation of technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals.

Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed.

Education and Licensure

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, chemistry, biology, or related field. (required)

Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)

Skills, Experience And Qualifications

At least 2 year of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. (preferred)

Prior internship experience in environmental consulting. (preferred)

Prior research experience in environmental contamination and remediation. (preferred)

Occasional field work and overnight travel. (required)

OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and associated on-the-job training will be provided.

Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.

Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)

Compensation

Seattle, WA: Minimum $28.54/hour | Maximum $37.48/hour | Minimum Salary $77,968.80/year | Maximum Salary $106,945/year

Bellingham, WA: Minimum $27.24/hour | Maximum $37.48/hour | Minimum Salary $77,968.80/year | Maximum Salary $102,080/year
