Field Service Engineer, PSO, Amazon Prime Air In the Amazon Prime Air team, a Product Support Engineering (PSO) Field Service Engineer will troubleshoot and diagnose day‑to‑day problems within our ultra‑fast drone delivery operations, ensuring high technical reliability and driving continuous improvement of the drone system design.

Key Job Responsibilities

Investigate daily system performance for anomalies and deliver solutions to operations and maintenance team escalations.

Assist with launches of new operational sites and regions.

Lead cross‑functional system investigations with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to optimize drone system performance metrics, and drive improvements.

Use data‑driven insights to establish benchmark standards and reduce operational burdens.

Develop and maintain documentation for technical procedures.

Deliver measurable system behaviour improvements based on data analysis that impacts customer experience, proactively engaging stakeholders to advocate for customers.

Communicate effectively across all organizational levels, presenting strategies and results to senior leadership and operational partners.

Basic Qualifications

Experience automating, deploying, and supporting large‑scale infrastructure.

Programming experience with a modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.

Experience with Linux/Unix.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.

Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with distributed systems at scale.

Experience in aviation regulatory compliance.

Compensation ranges from $116,300 per year in the lowest geographic market to $201,200 per year in the highest, plus equity, sign‑on payments, and other benefits as part of a total compensation package.
