This 6‑month engagement is 40 hours per week and is focused on California (San Francisco or LA) to best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.
Where and How You Can Work We support flexible, remote‑friendly ways of working, but for this role we focus on California (San Francisco or LA) to best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.
What You’ll Be Doing
Leading Canva’s global owned events end-to-end, setting vision, driving alignment, and managing complex, cross‑functional delivery.
Owning agency partnerships and overseeing planning and execution across programming, creative, production, and operations.
Partnering with teams across Creative, Campaigns, Product, PMM, B2B Marketing, Sales, and Digital to deliver cohesive, high‑quality experiences.
Shaping content programming for flagship events, including agendas, formats, storytelling, and speaker experiences.
Extending live experiences into compelling digital moments, including landing pages, promotional assets, and rewatch content.
Ensuring a consistent, high‑bar attendee journey from pre‑event through onsite execution to post‑event amplification across social, PR, partnerships, and product channels.
Planning and delivering experiences ranging from large‑scale tentpoles to pop‑ups and product launches, managing budgets, timelines, vendors, and workflows.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience bringing brands to life through experiential or brand marketing—ideally (but not limited to) working on large‑scale, high‑profile, and global initiatives.
You understand what makes audiences tick and know how to craft compelling journeys that inform, inspire, and delight.
You are fluent in both digital and in‑person experiences—and know how to bridge the two seamlessly to create cohesive, resonant storytelling.
You have worked in or with agencies and are comfortable managing multiple collaborators, vendors, or stakeholders at once.
You have a strong creative point of view and a deep understanding of how to translate brand objectives into engaging experiential concepts.
You are equally comfortable mixing creativity with strategic thinking—with the ability to prioritize effectively, zoom in on details, and zoom out to see the big picture.
You excel at engaging and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders, and can confidently lead the process from idea to execution.
You have high emotional intelligence, empathy, and a sense of humor—must‑have.
You thrive in fast‑paced environments, enjoy collaborating across teams, and are excited about working on a global stage (frequent travel is part of the fun!).
You are excited about Canva’s mission and passionate about delivering meaningful, beautiful brand experiences at scale.
About the Team As a Senior Experiential Marketing Manager, you will sit within the Experiential Team in Brand Marketing and will help build and develop how Canva comes to life across the cultural calendar. In close partnership with the cross‑functional team at Canva, you will support and help execute an overall global experiential strategy, creative, production and execution of proprietary event tentpoles, sponsor integrations, pop‑ups and virtual events in support of Canva’s mission to become the world’s most loved brand.
