Position Overview
Staff Director Retirement Investments
at
FedEx Corporation . Directs investment activities of pension, profit sharing, 401(k), optional savings, disability, health plans and international plans, providing coordination of all internal and external investment functions for FedEx’s operating companies.
Essential Responsibilities
Direct investment activities of the pension, profit sharing, 401(k), optional savings, disability, health plans and international plans.
Provide coordination of all internal and external investment functions relative to FedEx operating companies.
Oversee investment of retirement-related assets for FedEx, directing external investment advisors, managers, custodian and record keepers for DB, DC, and foreign plans.
Coordinate with internal departments on all investment related issues, provide strategic direction, manage investment policies, manager selection/monitoring, and coordinate Retirement Plan Investment Board agenda.
Prepare and present recommendations based on thorough, fact‑based analysis supporting strategic efforts, including design, negotiation and placement of investment managers and policies, interface with accounting, legal and tax, and communicate investment programs to senior management.
Qualifications
Strong investments background and people‑management skills.
Project leadership capability.
Broad knowledge of pension risk management, investments, and financial analysis.
Proficient in researching relevant data and spreadsheet modeling.
Understanding and utilization of risk‑management systems.
Excellent communication skills.
Initiative and collaboration internally and externally.
Comfortable interface with executive management.
Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in finance.
Minimum Experience Eight (8) years experience in pension, profit sharing, 401(k), optional savings, disability, health plans, ERISA or international plans.
