Lead Commercial HVAC Technician

You will set the standard for quality service as the lead technician in the field. You will also mentor and develop less experienced HVAC technicians. This role has potential for growth as a full-time supporting role focused exclusively on training our team and troubleshooting complex situations as the field service manager. Field work will include, but not be limited to: Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing a broad spectrum of commercial HVAC equipment Working proficiently on: Rooftop Units (RTUs) Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Split Systems Chillers Cooling Towers Heat Pumps Actively teaching, training, and developing less experienced technicians on best practices, safety, and advanced diagnostics Executing comprehensive preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and prevent costly downtime Serving as a professional representative, clearly communicating technical findings and proposed resolutions to clients Qualifications: Experience: verifiable experience as a Commercial HVAC Technician with proven mentorship capability Certification: Current EPA Section 608 Universal Certification is required Technical Acumen: Proven expertise in electrical, refrigeration, pneumatics, and hydronics systems common in commercial settings Logistics: Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record Licensing: Must possess an active Michigan Mechanical License Compensation and Benefits: Market leading compensation Fully covered Health, Dental, and Vision insurance New van On-call stand-by pay Annual steel toe boot/shoe allowance.
