Responsibilities
Support the execution of national and regional trade association strategies.
Represent PMI at industry events, association meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
Develop and deliver legislative and regulatory briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with regional sales leadership to align advocacy efforts with business objectives.
Assist in the creation of advocacy materials, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
Monitor and report on legislative and regulatory developments impacting the business.
Coordinate with regional directors to support state‑level activations and campaigns.
Track and manage budgets related to association memberships and event sponsorships.
Evaluate the ROI of advocacy initiatives and recommend improvements.
Travel Requirement: This position requires travel approximately 50% to 75% of the time, including attendance at industry events, association meetings, and stakeholder engagements across various regions.
This role will report to the Senior Manager, Industry Engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Business, or related field.
3+ years experience in consumer product goods industry, preferably in tobacco industry.
Relevant experience in government affairs, public policy, industry relations, or a related field.
Strong understanding of legislative and regulatory processes at the state and federal levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking and presentation.
Proven ability to build and maintain strategic relationships with external stakeholders.
Experience working with trade associations and advocacy organizations.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools.
Annual Base Salary Range $156,750 - $209,000
