General Statement of Duties:
The head coach is responsible for overall management of the indoor track program, including planning for practices and competitions, overseeing team equipment, recruiting and selecting athletes, implementing game strategies, and fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.
Essential Duties:
Organize the overall indoor track program.
Prepare athletes physically and mentally for interscholastic competition, teaching fundamental skills and knowledge of rules.
Supervise cleaning, storage, and proper care of all track equipment.
Collect and inventory all equipment.
Minimum Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of a public school athletic program.
Proven ability to coordinate high-level practice sessions for multiple track athletes simultaneously.
Ability to recruit, retain, and coordinate the efforts of an assistant coaching staff.
Proven ability to provide exceptional leadership and coaching for student-athletes during regional and state competitions.
Prior experience preparing athletes for interscholastic competitions.
Prior experience managing team fundraising efforts.
Minimum Salary:
$3,340.70/year
