Introduction
Our client is an independently owned veterinary hospital providing care for dogs, cats, ferrets, rabbits, and birds, currently seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join their team.
Working Hours / Rota This position can be structured as either full‑time or part‑time. The hospital is open Monday through Wednesday and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offering broad schedule flexibility. Weekend availability is required as part of a shared rotation. No after‑hours coverage is specified.
Role Description & Responsibilities The Associate Veterinarian will manage a wide range of clinical responsibilities including wellness and preventive care, diagnostics and radiology, dentistry, surgery, and client education. The role supports a mixed‑species caseload and is open to veterinarians at various levels of experience.
Practice Details The hospital is housed in a 10,000‑square‑foot facility that includes a pet supply store and a 2,500‑square‑foot outdoor play yard, located in the heart of the city. Services are also extended to surrounding communities including Milton, Quincy, and South Boston. The hospital is open seven days a week and offers ample off‑street parking. Equipment includes digital tabletop and dental radiography, benchtop blood sample analyzers, sevoflurane gas anesthesia, anesthetic monitoring equipment, a full pharmacy, prescription veterinary diets, and general surgical and dental tools such as a high‑speed drill and ultrasonic piezoelectric scaler.
Team The clinical team includes five DVMs supported by a tenured support staff. The environment is collaborative, with an emphasis on teamwork and consistent, high‑quality patient care across all services.
Candidate Requirements
Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
Package Salary up to $180,000 (Annual) — Base salary $140‑$180k + Production (DOE), Signing bonus, 401K with company match, Health insurance, Reimburse for all licensures, $1,800 CE allowance, Up to 4 weeks PTO.
