Job Title: AWS Cloud Architect
Location: Boston, MA
Type: Contract
Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture Design
Design and deploy highly available, fault‑tolerant and secure applications on AWS
Develop architecture diagrams and solution blueprints aligned with business requirements
Infrastructure Automation
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation
Automate deployments and enforce consistency across environments
Migration Modernization
Lead migration of on‑premise workloads to AWS cloud
Optimize cloud spend and implement cost‑control strategies
Security Compliance
Architect solutions with IAM, encryption and compliance best practices
Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory standards
DevOps CICD
Build and manage CICD pipelines using AWS native tools and GitHub Actions
Support containerization (Docker), Kubernetes and serverless architectures
Performance Governance
Monitor and manage AWS resources for performance and cost optimization
Develop disaster recovery strategies and high availability designs
Required Skills & Competencies
Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or similar role
Deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, DynamoDB, OpenSearch
Expertise in Terraform, CloudFormation and automation frameworks
Strong knowledge of networking, security and DevOps practices
Familiarity with serverless computing and event‑driven architectures
AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional) are highly desirable
