We are looking for a Mid‑Level Water/Wastewater Engineer/PM to join our Fort Lauderdale, FL office. You will design, coordinate, and execute a variety of water treatment, conveyance, and modeling projects for our clients, working alongside senior engineers and project managers in a diverse and fast‑paced office.
Responsibilities
Assist senior engineers on larger, complex projects, including task management.
Perform a wide variety of routine assignments that are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals.
Prepare planning documents, reports, studies, and calculations.
Prepare models, engineering specifications, data sheets, sketches, and drawings and perform calculations in support of engineering activities.
Maintain a positive attitude, be dependable, and meet assigned project deadlines.
Effectively work with project teams with diverse technical skill sets and geographic locations.
Display strong communication and interpersonal skills and work in a fast‑paced consulting environment.
Collaborate on and contribute to maintaining and building strong client relationships.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
5+ years of professional engineering experience.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to lead and work with multi‑disciplinary teams on complex infrastructure projects.
Preferred Qualifications
Master of Science in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related engineering field.
Professional Engineer License in Florida or ability to gain reciprocity.
Previous professional experience with a consulting firm serving municipal water clients.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Professional society involvement.
Adept at interpersonal relationship building, conflict resolution, and participating in diverse teams.
Benefits and Compensation Base salary range: $111,500.00–$146,325.00 per year, based on location and experience.
