Eaton’s ES AMER NAS division is seeking a Senior Outside Sales Engineer for a home‑based position. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Wichita, KS; relocation assistance is available for qualified applicants living outside this radius. What You’ll Do
The Senior Outside Sales Engineer sells assigned product lines to targeted customers in assigned market areas, achieving sales goals with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include: Providing sales and technical assistance to distributors, contractors, end users, and electrical group personnel. Offering accurate information for order entry and ensuring quality issues reach management. Supporting distributor inventory management by recommending product stocking levels. Delivering timely reports and market intelligence competitors and customer preferences. Planning promotional events and presentations with distributor personnel. Preparing and presenting bids and quotations using company pricing and delivery guidelines. Qualifications
Required (Basic) Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Minimum three years of electrical industry experience. Valid driver’s license. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Position Success Criteria
Excellent communication skills. Ability to work in the United States without future corporate sponsorship. Knowledge of key customers within sales territories. Strong time management, presentation, and planning skills. Proficiency with Eaton electrical products and services. Effective customer relationship management and sales technique. Experience with Bidmanager and Vista. Understanding of market trends, industry issues, and competitors. Teamwork skills and ability to leverage support personnel. Travel up to 25%. Compensation
The base salary ranges from $101,250 to $148,500, with target sales performance incentive potential. Employment Details
