As a Verification and Validation engineer on our team, you will work with Booz Allen colleagues and the U.S. Space Force to develop and deploy the next generation of capabilities to deliver critical information to our warfighters to quickly win or even prevent future wars. Your client will trust you to develop Technical Requirements Documents (TRDs), Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical assessments, verification plans, and digital mission and system models for satellite systems and payloads. You will grow your skills by researching new requirements, technologies, and threats, and using innovative engineering methodologies and tools to create tomorrow's solutions.
You Have:
5+ years of experience performing systems engineering or integration
Experience in requirements and interface management, including development, decomposition, and traceability
Experience performing systems engineering for satellite systems
Experience navigating Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), preparing technical artifacts and presentations, and leading Working Groups (WGs) and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
Experience using management tools such as DOORS, Cameo, or Jama
Experience using Confluence and Jira
Knowledge of the Verification and Validation (V&V) lifecycle
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
Nice If You Have:
Experience in the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR), defense weather, and tactical ISR mission areas
Experience with OPIR payloads, space‑based weather payloads, satellite busses, and satellite subsystems, including propulsion, thermal control, power, attitude control, TT&C, communications, data processing, and structures
Experience leading a team performing systems engineering, integration, and testing on space‑based remote sensing systems
Experience leading a team using a Model‑Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines
Experience with digital engineering and model‑based systems engineering
TS/SCI clearance
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
