Manager, Energy Markets (Interconnection) – Remote

Description As a Manager in the Interconnection & Transmission team, you will lead and oversee complex consulting projects related to generation and load interconnection, as well as transmission planning, across North American power markets. You will be responsible for client relationship management, project delivery, team leadership, and business development. Your expertise will guide clients through regulatory, technical, and commercial challenges, and you will play a key role in shaping the organization’s interconnection and transmission offerings. Remote location: anywhere in the U.S. or hybrid from any U.S. ICF office. Key Responsibilities

Lead large‑scale interconnection and transmission consulting projects, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and client satisfaction. Oversee and mentor a team of consultants and associates, providing technical guidance and professional development. Develop and implement interconnection strategies for clients, leveraging advanced power flow simulations and market analysis. Serve as a primary point of contact for key clients, managing relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Monitor and interpret regulatory developments in North American power markets, advising clients on compliance and strategic positioning. Collaborate with senior leadership on business development, proposal writing, and service innovation. Present findings and recommendations to executive‑level stakeholders, both internally and externally. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. 6+ years of experience in the North American electric power sector, with significant exposure to interconnection and transmission consulting. Experience managing teams and leading complex projects. Experience with generator or load interconnection processes, transmission planning, and regulatory frameworks. Client management experience. Preferred Skills

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field. 8+ years of experience with direct management of consulting teams. Advanced proficiency with power flow assessment tools (e.g., PowerGEM TARA, GE‑PSLF, PSS‑E, PowerWorld). Experience developing new service offerings and leading proposal efforts. Recognized thought leadership in interconnection and transmission topics. Advanced MS Office and data analysis capabilities. Experience in any North American market related to interconnection and transmission planning is an advantage. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Salary

$118,730.00 – $201,840.00 (Nationwide Remote Office, US) Employer
