Our team engages people with dignity and respect while supporting UW Medicine’s mission and values.**Position Highlights*** Lead security operations for UWMC-Montlake and UW Medicine Primary Care locations.* Supervise and develop security staff, including shift supervisors and officers.* Oversee training programs, compliance, and operational standards.* Collaborate with leadership on strategic security initiatives and emergency planning.**Primary Job Responsibilities*** Manage day-to-day security operations for UWMC-Montlake and Primary Care, ensuring safe staffing levels and service excellence.* Direct HR functions for security personnel, including hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions.* Implement and maintain training programs (e.g., WELLE, Code Gray, Code Silver).* Oversee equipment, scheduling, and compliance with UW Medicine standards.* Act as adjutant for the Director in their absence and liaise with internal and external agencies.**Minimum Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree in Public Safety Administration, Security Management, Criminal Justice, Hospital Administration, Business, or a related field from an accredited university* 4-5 years' relevant work experience to include* + security services/Public Safety leadership role in a healthcare environment or 2 years’ experience in law enforcement;
+ Advance training or experience with technical elements including physical security systems;
+ security operations;
+ security protocols and training;
+ and team supervision;
