Position Purpose The Registered Nurse (RN) works in a collaborative environment at Holy Cross Health within the Acute/Neuro Unit to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidence‑based medicine and individualized patient care. This position is a great opportunity to work in an organization that focuses on treating the whole person physically, emotionally and spiritually.
This 30‑bed unit provides care to patients requiring cardiac telemetry monitoring, with a special emphasis on neuroscience diagnoses, including epilepsy monitoring. The unit is staffed by registered nurses, certified nursing assistants, health unit coordinators, and monitor technicians. Staff receive support from clinical educators and advanced practice nurses.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without work visa or sponsorship.
What You Will Do
Demonstrate proficiency in the Nursing Process and the Quality Caring Model to plan and manage routine patient care, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.
Effectively communicate fundamental patient/family information to the health care team.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred).
Current Registered Nurse licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State.
One (1) year of nursing experience preferred.
BLS Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association; additional life support training as applicable to unit requirements.
Pay Range $38.92 – $54.19 per hour (based on experience, skills, and education).
