Provide medical primary care services for patients admitted to an acute psychiatricsetting. The FNP will screen patients for appropriate medical care prior to admission, perform physical examinations, managing health problems, domedical rounds on all newly admitted patients as well as manage and treat these patients during their hospitalization.Able to understand what type of laboratory tests, x-rays and any other diagnostic procedures that must be ordered.Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team to determine and achieve health goals of patients and families.
This is a fulltime night shift position at NYP/Westchester Behavioral Health.**Preferred Criteria*** Family Nurse Practitioner 3-5 years’ experience* National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the specialty of practice* DEA registration**Required Criteria*** Bachelors & Master of Science in Nursing* NYS RN Licensure* NY Nurse/FNP Practitioner license* FNP board certification through ANCC or AANP* BCLS* Orientation completionJoin a healthcare system where employee engagement is at an all-time high.
