7am-4pm, with a 1-hour lunch break from 12pm-1pm, totaling a 6-day/48-hour work week.

Seasonal Hybrid: Manure Management/Farming

Responsibilities:
  • Loading (involves handling manure using front-end loaders and depositing it into semi truck spreaders and side dump trailers for application and stockpiling).
  • Transporting (entails hauling loads to the field and spreading solid manure).
  • Delivering (includes cleaning slurry pits with a front-end loader and transporting slurry manure to the on-site anaerobic digester using a tractor-operated spreader wagon).
  • Summer Daily duties: Involves operating farm equipment for the cultivation of alfalfa, corn, triticale, sorghum, and other crops. The primary focus is on farming alongside essential manure management tasks.
  • Operating (refers to driving tractors for various farming operations such as plowing, planting, chopping, baling, and transporting).
  • Hauling (involves driving semis to transfer bales, chopped feed loads, or dirt/sand from the farm to the dairy).
  • Stacking (refers to organizing bales using front-end loaders).
