OpenAI About The Team The Solutions Architecture team is responsible for ensuring the safe and effective deployment of Generative AI applications for developers and enterprises. We act as a trusted advisor and thought partner for our customers, working to build an effective backlog of GenAI use cases for their industry and drive them to production through strong technical guidance. OpenAI's customers range from early-stage startups to established global enterprises. About The Role We are seeking a technically proficient, business-minded Solutions Architect to help push the frontier of advanced AI with our strategic startup customers. You'll guide exciting AI startups through ideation, development, delivery, and scaling to maximize the value of their projects on our platform. You will work on innovative use cases, collect and deliver high-fidelity feedback, and collaborate with various teams. This role is based in NYC with a hybrid work model and relocation support. In This Role, You Will Partner with startup customers as a technical thought partner to build applications on our API, from ideation to scale. Provide guidance to maximize business impact and accelerate development. Prototype and experiment with customers to demonstrate use cases. Contribute to open-source resources, share knowledge, and document best practices. Gather and communicate feedback to Product and Research teams. Build relationships within the startup ecosystem, serving as a technical partner. You’ll Thrive In This Role If You Have 5+ years of experience as a software or ML engineer, preferably in startups; founder experience is a plus. Are passionate about startups and their potential. Proficient in Python, JavaScript, and AI/LLM best practices. Have built or delivered prototypes on our API platform. Can identify opportunities to leverage OpenAI API for business value. Own problems end-to-end and are eager to learn. Have a humble attitude, are collaborative, and committed to team success. Can manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
