EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ARCHITECT

What you will be doing:
  • Architect embedded software solutions for Electronic Braking Systems, including ABS, ESC, and brake-by-wire technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, systems, safety, and vehicle dynamics engineers to ensure integrated system performance.
  • Define software architecture that meets functional safety (ISO 26262) and real-time performance requirements.
  • Lead software design reviews, interface definitions, and architectural documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity (ISO/SAE 21434).
  • Collaborate with electronic hardware specialists in defining input requirements for design and development of production ECUs.
  • Guide development teams in implementing modular, testable, and maintainable code.
  • Support system integration, calibration, and validation in both lab and vehicle environments.
  • Evaluate new technologies and contribute to innovation in braking system software and Electrical/Electronic architectures.
What you'll need to be successful:
Essential:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in embedded software development, with at least 3 years in a software architecture role.
  • Strong knowledge of Embedded System preferably in automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in C/C++, Model based design and embedded development tools.
  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and microcontroller-based systems.
  • Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, FlexRay).
  • Deep understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and system-level safety concepts.
  • Deep understanding of Embedded Software Cyber Security requirements in compliance with ISO21434.
  • Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic and/or Adaptive) in braking or chassis systems.
  • Hands-on experience with tools like Software Testing and Calibration tools Vector CANoe, ETAS INCA.
  • Knowledge of braking system standards and regulations (e.g., FMVSS, ECE R13).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
