Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/07/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Med/Surg Tele RN for a night shift position requiring Epic EMR experience and strong EKG interpretation skills.
Responsibilities Work in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit within a hospital setting Patient ratio is typically 1:6 on a 130-bed unit Night shift with 3x12 hour shifts per week No on-call required Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Drips managed include heparin, insulin, lasix, amiodarone, diltiazem, and digoxin Tele reads and rhythm strip interpretation required Epic EMR is used and Epic experience is required May float to Behavioral Health, ED, ICU, and post-procedural areas Contribute to an interdisciplinary team and provide comprehensive nursing care through the nursing process Required to work 2 out of 3 major 2025 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's Day, Thanksgiving) Only 1 day of time-off may be requested during peak holiday periods (November 26-30 and December 23-January 2) Orientation is 16 hours Candidates employed within the last 12 months by the client may not be eligible Clinical interviews may be conducted by phone or text
