Operating Room Charge Nurse
Hyde Park Surgery Center is hiring an Operating Room Charge Nurse Welcome to Hyde Park Surgery Center We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Spine.
Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call.
Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day. Operating Room Charge Nurse (OR RN) at Hyde Park Surgery Center As the Operating Room Charge Nurse, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the OR, ensuring the highest quality patient care, promoting team efficiency, and fostering a positive environment. You will act as a clinical resource for staff, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards. Coordinate and oversee patient care in the operating room Facilitate communication between surgical staff, anesthesiologists, and other departments Support adherence to safety and infection control protocols Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures to optimize OR efficiency Communicate with physicians to resolve equipment or instrument issues by coordinating ordering or getting repairs done. Communicate with vendors and representatives for supplies, equipment or instruments that are needed for cases. Works closely with Materials and Sterile Processing Dept to coordinate supplies & instrument needs. Coordinates and assists in Performance Improvement Projects. Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred Current Texas RN License Previous leadership or charge nurse experience Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors. Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to the operating room. Clinically proficient in OR nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the developmental needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients.
