Position summary
Serve as the single-point project owner for IRS engineering and modernization. You'll lead planning, execution, and risk management for multiple data-pipeline workstreams while ensuring compliance with IRS OneSDLC and FedRAMP-High controls.
Core duties
- Own integrated master schedule, scope, and deliverables for data-pipeline build & 24 × 7 O&M releases.
- Facilitate cross-functional Agile ceremonies; provide weekly quad-chart, bi-weekly status, and monthly Staffing Matrix inputs.
- Coordinate MBI clearance paperwork, onboarding, and mandatory training for all team members.
- Drive quality-gate readiness (architecture reviews, security assessments, OneSDLC exits).
- Brief IRS COR/PMO on progress, risks, and mitigation strategies; manage subcontractor performance.
Required qualifications
- 8 + years' program/project management in federal IT; ≥ 3 projects focused on data-pipeline engineering for agencies of comparable scale.
- Demonstrated success with data-lake, Databricks, or large cloud analytics programs.
- Active PMP or PMI-ACP/Scrum Master (or ability to earn within 6 months).
- Eligibility for IRS MBI and commitment to complete annual Insider-Threat and privacy training.
Desired
- SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or Lean Portfolio Management experience.
- Familiarity with Treasury Publication 4812 controls and FedRAMP compliance artifacts.
