Assembly Associate
Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of an Assembly Associate for a contract position in Barrington, IL. The opportunity will be six months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.
Position Summary:
The role will perform electro-mechanical assembly tasks in a manufacturing environment. This position requires the ability to read and interpret blueprints, bills of materials, and calibration specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude and is dependable in attendance, quality, and work pace. Cross-training and flexibility to work across different product types are essential.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities: Assemble various electro-mechanical products using blueprints, BOMs, and calibration specifications. Rotate across multiple production work cells as needed. Maintain high standards of attendance, quality, and productivity. Perform light material handling when required. Identify and report potential safety concerns, adhering to plant safety guidelines. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and warehouse teams. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent Certification Requirements:None specified; relevant certifications in soldering or assembly are a plus. Minimum 1 year of experience in electro-mechanical production assembly. High school diploma or equivalent. Proficient in blueprint reading and interpreting test/calibration specs. Skilled in soldering and mechanical assembly. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Able to work independently or in team settings with minimal supervision. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. with assistance. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Beginning to intermediate PC skills preferred. Electro-mechanical assembly Blueprint and BOM interpretation Soldering Calibration and testing Communication and teamwork Preferred:
Cross-functional production experience Familiarity with plant safety procedures Basic computer proficiency
