Geo-Logic Associates (GLA) is a privately-held, multidisciplinary, geologic, geotechnical, hydrogeologic, civil, and environmental consulting firm. Our highly experienced professionals manage projects through 29 US office locations and an office in Peru. GLA is currently seeking an experienced full-time Geotechnical Engineer to support mining, solid waste, and environmental remediation projects. Projects focus on mining facilities and will also include general civil engineering design, stormwater hydrologic and hydraulic design, geotechnical design, and waste containment facilities. Projects typically also include significant regulatory compliance components.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors of Science degree in Geotechnical Engineering, or related field
- Engineering Intern status.
- 3 years of previous work experience in mining related geotechnical engineering, site/civil, and surface water runoff design
- Advanced AutoCAD Civil 3D skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, GeoSlope or Slide, and other related geotechnical engineering software applications
- Capability to work well individually and in groups/teams
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
- Experience logging geotechnical borings and test pits
- Familiarity with federal, state and local mining regulations
- Familiarity with geotechnical laboratory and field testing a plus
- MSHA Certified
- Be eligible to work in the United States and possess a valid driver's license
- Pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen
Pay range: $25.00/hour - $30.00/hour commensurate with experience
