This 40-bed facility provides inpatient and residential care for adolescent patients facing mental health and emotional challenges.
Position Summary The Clinical Director oversees all clinical services, including treatment planning, program development, staff supervision, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance specific to adolescent behavioral health. This role ensures high-quality care, oversees clinical outcomes, and works closely with the Executive Director to align clinical operations with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation and evaluation of adolescent clinical programs (intake, assessment, therapy, family engagement, discharge planning).
Supervise, mentor and advance all clinical staff (therapists, case managers, psychologists, RNs, etc.).
Ensure compliance with Florida state regulations, accrediting standards (e.g., CARF, Joint Commission) and internal policies.
Oversee development and monitoring of treatment plans, outcome measures, performance metrics and clinical documentation.
Collaborate with medical, nursing and administrative teams to integrate care and ensure best practices.
Manage clinical budget, staffing, training, credentialing and professional development.
Maintain strong relationships with referral sources, families, community agencies and regulatory bodies.
Required Credentials & Licensing (Florida)
Master’s degree or higher in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Nursing (MSN) or related behavioral health discipline.
Active Florida license as one of the following: Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist (LMFT).
Minimum of 5 years post-licensure experience in behavioral/mental health settings, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial clinical leadership role.
Certification or training in trauma-informed care, evidence-based interventions (e.g., DBT, CBT-I, MST) preferred.
Credentialing/training in risk management, HIPAA, and quality assurance/improvement.
