Cybersecurity Policy Writer and Analyst

– TDI (Tetrad Digital Integrity)

Location: Ford Office Building, Washington, D.C. (On‑site 3 days per week)

Responsibilities

Work collaboratively with staff to provide quality technical writing support—including preparing and reviewing documentation, communications, and briefing decks—for internal and external stakeholders.

Follow approved templates and style guides to review and analyze existing security policies; identify policy gaps and propose draft policy, focusing on modernizing all policies based on current technology advances.

Analyze and develop new security policies based on best practices to address emerging areas or technologies.

Collaborate with cybersecurity personnel to define policy guidelines and ensure written policies are integrated into applicable systems.

Ensure consistency in guidance and terminology across all policies, maintaining high attention to detail for quality outcomes.

Adapt to changing priorities with respect to policy updates.

Support ad‑hoc cybersecurity communications, including messages targeting members, committees, and leadership offices.

Manage and communicate timelines for deliverables, ensuring quality across all documentation—including reports, data‑call responses, research papers, and other records as directed by Cybersecurity leadership.

Be frequently on‑site in D.C. for client interaction and to support client events (Pop‑up Events).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–7 years of experience in cybersecurity policy development.

Demonstrated experience writing enterprise‑level security policies within a federal agency or comparable IT environment.

Strong policy analysis and professional writing skills, including editing and proofreading.

Proficient knowledge of security guidelines such as NIST, ISO, and others.

Understanding of a broad range of security best practices and current technology trends.

Experience assessing and enhancing system security policies in response to regulatory requirements for federal and international standards.

Ability to translate complex policy concepts into clear, structured text.

Proficiency in the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Preferred Qualifications

Security+ certification.
