IDD Reviewer - Washington, DC
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate
IDD Reviewer
to join a mission-driven organization dedicated to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role is ideal for a professional with
2-5 years of hands‑on experience
who is committed to advocacy, quality care, and improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
This position is
remote , with
required weekly visits to residential sites throughout Washington, DC . Candidates
must be current DC residents .
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess residents' individual needs, strengths, and challenges
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and monitor individualized service plans
Interview residents and family members to gather insights and ensure person‑centered care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident progress and evolving needs
Stay current on best practices, techniques, and advancements in the developmental disabilities field
Coordinate with external agencies and funding sources, including
Medicaid and Medicare , to ensure compliance and proper documentation
Advocate for residents' rights, independence, well‑being, and community inclusion
Provide training and guidance to staff on effective support strategies
Manage a remote workload while conducting required on‑site visits across Washington, DC
