Responsibilities
Lead epidemiology for designated products, proactively defining research strategies that support R&D and commercial objectives.
Plan, coordinate, and execute all aspects of epidemiology research programs, including protocol development, data collection, management, analysis, and report generation.
Prepare results for internal decision‑making, regulatory submissions, publications, and technical reports.
Contribute epidemiological data to routine and ad‑hoc regulatory submissions, such as protocols, product clinical development plans, risk management plans, and periodic safety reports.
Lead structured benefit‑risk assessments using qualitative and quantitative methods.
Advance the generation and utilization of real‑world evidence across the company.
Assist the head of department in developing and growing the department.
Contribute to CSL’s organizational efforts to develop, communicate, and implement best practices, SOPs, templates, and work instructions.
Qualifications
Doctoral degree in epidemiology or a related quantitative discipline with at least 10 years of relevant experience (preferably in the pharmaceutical industry); or a Master’s degree with at least 12 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
Demonstrated ability to identify the value of epidemiologic evidence across the product lifecycle and to advise and lead product teams.
Proven autonomous performance as an epidemiology lead, optimizing the application of epidemiological research in product development and post‑marketing support for multiple complex projects.
Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a matrix organization, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry.
Experience leading organizational process improvement or change‑management initiatives.
Demonstrated understanding of the broader business context, including R&D and commercial development activities.
