Quality Improvement Lead - East Hospital The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is committed to enhancing the quality and reliability of clinical care provided to patients. The Quality Improvement Lead develops and executes strategic quality plans within the designated areas to assure Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center continues to be innovative and world renowned in its approaches to quality and world class care.

Under the direction of the Associate Director for Quality Program Coordination, the Quality Improvement Lead identifies and implements strategic and service-line specific quality initiatives that support all levels of patient care within the organization. The Lead applies specialized clinical quality improvement knowledge and sophisticated analytical skills to lead an innovative quality management and improvement program supporting performance metric achievement in alignment with organizational goals. To achieve these goals, the Lead evaluates patterns, trends, and processes to improve the quality of care for patients across the Health System. Working with multidisciplinary teams and leveraging comparative clinical data, including internal and external benchmarking, the Lead identifies gaps and facilitates clinical process improvement initiatives to meet target clinical goals and outcomes. The Lead independently leads multiple, broad-scope, highly complex process/quality improvement initiatives in the designated area(s) of responsibility.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in a clinical field. Clinical licensure.

2 years of relevant experience required. 4–6 years of relevant healthcare quality management experience preferred.

Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, organizational and facilitation skills.

Strong knowledge of industry trends, best practices as they relate to the delivery of high quality and safe health care.

Strong project management experience and experience using a variety of quality tools (e.g., DMAIC, Lean Six Sigma, PDSA).

Demonstrate solid history of achieving results with complex and dynamic teams.

Strong computer skills, including basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Office products.

Ability to learn new systems software.
