Accounts Payable - Vice President

Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AVP/VP of Accounts Payable to drive strategic vision, operational excellence, and strong leadership in a high‑flying banking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the Americas Accounts Payable function, overseeing invoice processing, payment execution, vendor management, and reconciliation.
Develop and implement AP policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
Drive automation and process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
Manage relationships with key vendors, internal stakeholders, and external auditors.
Ensure timely month‑end and year‑end close activities related to AP.
Monitor KPIs and SLAs, producing regular reports for senior leadership.
Collaborate with Procurement, Treasury, and IT to align AP processes with broader financial strategies.
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of AP professionals across multiple geographies.
Stay abreast of regulatory changes, tax implications, and banking innovations impacting AP.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
10+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Payable or Finance Operations, ideally within banking or financial services.
Proven leadership experience managing large, cross‑border teams.
Strong understanding of global payment systems, tax regulations, and compliance frameworks.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and AP automation tools.
Exceptional analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to thrive in a matrixed, high‑pressure environment with competing priorities.
Compensation & Benefits Base salary range: $114,000 – $150,000. Successful candidates are also eligible for a discretionary bonus and a generous benefits package, including Medical, Dental, and 401K plans.
