SHR Talent is partnering with a client to search for a Senior Tax Manager to play a leadership role within its expanding Tax Services and Family Office platform. The Senior Tax Manager will serve as a trusted tax advisor to high‑net‑worth clients, lead complex tax planning initiatives, and act as a senior partner to Wealth Advisors across the firm. The Senior Tax Manager will have meaningful influence over strategy, client outcomes, and the continued growth of the tax function.
Responsibilities
Lead tax planning and compliance for complex high-net-worth individuals, families, trusts, and entities
Review and oversee preparation of tax returns and related filings
Develop and implement advanced tax planning strategies aligned with client wealth objectives
Partner closely with Wealth Advisors, Family Office professionals, and Risk teams
Serve as a senior point of contact for client tax matters
Mentor and review work of Tax Managers and Associates
Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and proactively advise clients
Contribute to process improvement and best‑practice development within the tax platform
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), license, -required
8‑12+ years of progressive tax experience
Deep experience with high-net-worth individuals, trusts, estates, and closely held entities
Background in public accounting, family office, or integrated wealth management preferred
Strong planning mindset with the ability to think strategically beyond compliance
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and influence cross‑functional teams
Client‑first mentality with high professional standards
