Job Description As a Security Officer - Patrol Unarmed State Facility, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government. You will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, deter security-related incidents, and provide a reassuring presence to those on site. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and delivering outstanding customer service and communication, while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do
Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following all Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to deter potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity or security concerns.
Assist with access control by verifying identification and credentials as required.
Support emergency response efforts and communicate with Allied Universal and onsite personnel.
Maintain detailed records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Interact professionally with visitors, staff, and contractors, providing assistance and directions.
Minimum Requirements
Valid New York State Security Guard License.
Experienced with limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
Appreciation for criminal history considerations consistent with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen as permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may be state and/or local regulations.
Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
