Chief Financial Officer – Client Accounting & Advisory Services (Nonprofit)

Accounting background with a desire for variety and client interaction. Experience in nonprofit accounting and an ability to travel to client sites. Looking for the stability and backing of a top 10 national firm. Responsibilities
Perform CFO functions as part of the client’s accounting services team. Identify and implement best practices to add value for clients. Work with clients to set financial policy and drive overall strategy. Drive capital planning, risk management, ratio and KPI analysis, and board interactions. Lead financial administration, planning, budgeting, and long‑term budget planning. Monitor budget progress and present operational metrics. Ensure financial staff maintains systems in accordance with principles and monitors fund usage. Manage cash flow, forecasting, and financial accounting. Coordinate audit activities. Effectively manage multiple client engagements. Build strong client relationships as a key member of the management team. Develop external business networks and become an industry thought leader. Qualifications
8 years of related work experience as an Assistant Controller, Controller, or equivalent; nonprofit experience highly preferred. Prior project or client management experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree required; related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree. CPA certification preferred but not required. Knowledge of QuickBooks (Online) highly preferred. Comfortable in a fast‑paced environment and skilled at multitasking. Ability to travel: primarily from KOP office with frequent local travel and occasional non‑local or overnight trips. Perks & Benefits
