Role Overview Our client is seeking an experienced
Accounting Manager
to manage and enhance their financial operations. This position focuses on ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with
U.S. GAAP , and optimizing accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills and a proven ability to drive financial improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the month-end close
and prepare
accurate financial statements
to support senior management’s decision-making.
Review journal entries , account reconciliations, and financial transactions to ensure
U.S. GAAP compliance .
Identify opportunities to
streamline accounting processes
and implement
automation
for greater efficiency.
Partner with
Operations
to assess
project profitability , address performance challenges, and recommend corrective actions.
Handle payroll accounting , ensuring accurate classification of expenses and appropriate payroll liabilities.
Develop and maintain
financial reporting dashboards
to improve company-wide visibility.
Support the preparation of
annual budgets
and
financial forecasts , aligning projections with project goals.
Lead and mentor a team
of
3+ accountants , promoting best practices and ensuring high-quality financial reporting.
Collaborate with
Purchasing
to ensure
vendor agreements
align with financial strategies.
Manage the
audit process , providing timely and accurate responses to auditors.
Ensure compliance with
internal controls , company policies, and regulatory requirements.
Supervise sales tax reporting
across multiple states, ensuring compliance with local tax laws.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
in
Accounting, Finance , or related field.
A minimum of
7 years
of accounting experience, with at least
3 years
in a managerial role.
Extensive knowledge of
U.S. GAAP , including
payroll accounting
and
project-based financials .
Proven ability to
improve financial processes
and implement automation for greater efficiency.
Advanced Excel
skills for data analysis and financial reporting.
Strong
organizational skills
with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent
leadership ,
communication , and
collaborative
skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
project-based accounting
and
Percentage of Completion (POC)
revenue recognition.
CPA
certification (preferred but not required).
Familiarity with
NetSuite
and
Power BI
for financial reporting.

and
credit check
