QA/BA Senior Business Communications Specialist

The work will be performed onsite in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities
The Senior Business Communications Specialist must have at least 7 years of technical writing experience.
Experience producing technical documentation for multiple platforms according to software development lifecycles (SDLCs), including DevOps, Agile, Lean, Iterative, or Waterfall.
Demonstrates excellent understanding of content management principles and practices and has experience applying these principles and training others in content management.
Manages content using collaboration platforms such as SharePoint and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
Possesses excellent understanding of business communications principles and demonstrates practical application of these principles. Exceptional oral and written communication skills required.
Qualifications
All candidates must be US citizens.
At least four years of experience in the specified technical field, or two years of recent demonstrated experience with specified emerging technology and two years of experience in a closely related field.
Requires five years of analytical experience.
BS/BA in computer science, information systems, mathematics, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
Leads business communications projects.
Produces content for Windows and iOS digital communication channels such as websites, digital displays, video, print media, social media, and mobile applications using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SharePoint Online, and Office 365.
Creates and edits a myriad of training, promotional, professional, and technical content (e.g., training videos, pamphlets, articles, one‑pagers, executive summaries, copy/content for websites/web pages, charters, instruction sets, SOPs, user guides, white papers).
Uses video editing and production software such as Camtasia.
Prepares and edits technical guidance (e.g., policies and procedures), best‑practice documents, briefings, operations and maintenance manuals, software and system documentation, API documentation, developer tutorials, and other materials as needed.
Collaborates with and coordinates the efforts of subject matter experts and multiple technical contributors to produce content.
Produces project documentation.
Applies style guides and design guidelines to ensure a consistent presentation of information.
Proofreads large technical documents for spelling, grammar, usage, textual errors, and appropriate tone.
Conducts technical research as needed to produce content.
Translates complex concepts into usable, audience‑appropriate text and graphics.
Provides general desktop support (i.e., resolves problems with software, hardware, configurations, etc.), including workstations and peripherals.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of Federal Reserve Board principles and practices.
Understanding of the Federal Reserve Board’s communications and content creation procedures.
Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of the Federal Reserve Board’s SharePoint content administration.
