Job Summary Responsible for providing high quality legal advice and representation on retail regulatory matters. Anticipates issues, develops solutions, and leads complex regulatory proceedings, including litigation, with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic legal counsel on regulatory and compliance matters for the organization.
Lead complex regulatory proceedings, including litigation, with minimal supervision.
Draft and negotiate regulatory documents, agreements, and other legal instruments.
Supervise and mentor attorneys, legal staff, and outside counsel.
Communicate complicated legal issues to internal stakeholders and external parties.
Work collaboratively across business units to resolve legal matters.
Minimum Qualifications
A Juris Doctor is required.
9+ years of experience in Regulatory, Corporate, Commercial, and Nuclear law.
Strong analytical, written, and oral communication skills.
Texas admission or ability to obtain admission.
Desired Profile
15+ years of direct experience in electric utility regulatory law.
Proven leadership and mentoring abilities.
Strategic decision-making and collaborative mindset.
Commitment to ethical conduct and professionalism.
