Responsibilities
The Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology (Special Procedures) will provide safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. The RN will specialize in administering intravenous (IV) medications, fluids, and blood products to patients, requiring expert assessment of patient needs, insertion of various IV lines, close monitoring of vital signs during treatment, and prompt response to potential complications while adhering to strict infection control practices. Additional responsibilities include working in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment with interprofessional teams and maintaining thorough patient documentation. Benefits

Requirements: Graduate of an accredited or NLN‑approved RN program. BLS certification required. DC RN license required. 2 Years of IR and cardiac cath experience. Requires ONS/ONCC certification. Skills: Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities. Understanding of different types of infusions, including blood products, chemotherapy, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN). Proficiency in placing peripheral intravenous catheters (PIVs) and managing central venous access devices (CVADs). Comprehensive understanding of medications used in infusion therapies. Strict adherence to infection control protocols when administering infusions. EEO Statement
