We are seeking a board-certified Rheumatologist for a 10-week locum tenens assignment with our client in Arkansas. The opportunity starts Jan 5, 2026, and offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7am to 4pm, including after-hours call coverage and inpatient consults. This assignment focuses on a variety of rheumatology cases in both clinic and call settings.

Provider Type Needed: Rheumatologist

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm clinic plus 24-hour out-of-hours call and consults after clinic. Seeking two weeks of coverage in January, with exact dates to be confirmed.

Responsibilities and Duties

Provide comprehensive rheumatology care in clinic and during call

Manage a diverse case mix including fibromyalgia, gout, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, Sjogren syndrome, systemic lupus erythematosus, myositis, and related autoimmune conditions

Respond to inpatient consults during after-hours call periods

Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care

Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation

Adhere to all applicable clinical protocols and regulatory requirements

Additional Information

Active Arkansas medical license required

Board certification in Rheumatology required

Minimum 2 years of experience in rheumatology practice

Assignment dates may be adjusted based on emergent credentialing needs
