Location: San Francisco or Los Angeles office.

Overview Lead plumbing engineering design on major healthcare projects, manage multidisciplinary project teams, build strong client relationships, and develop and mentor engineers.

Responsibilities

Lead plumbing engineering design for major healthcare projects.

Deliver high-quality engineering work to achieve internal project goals (profit, etc.).

Develop and maintain excellent client relationships.

Lead and supervise staff on a variety of projects, particularly healthcare, including decarbonization efforts.

Attend client-facing and OAC meetings.

Participate in local professional associations, including ASPE.

Participate in project pursuits, including reviewing and preparing proposals or scoping documents.

Foster a culture of innovation, technical excellence and inclusiveness.

Coach and assist in skill development of individuals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering.

12 years or more of proven experience designing building plumbing systems.

Professional US Engineering License or equivalent US Certified accreditation for plumbing discipline.

Experience leading project teams on medium to large scale projects.

The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work, and organize within our constantly evolving work environment.

Experience with 3D BIM/CAD software such as AutoCAD MEP or Revit MEP or be proficient in mapping out the BIM process from a multi-disciplinary standpoint.

Familiarity with the importance of clash detection, multi-disciplinary planning and assessing the quality of a model by using tools such as Navisworks or BIM 360.Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working.

Presentation skills with colleagues and clients of all levels.
