Overview
We are seeking a mission‑focused Technical Data Analyst to support critical United States Navy operations. This role blends data engineering and data visualization responsibilities, delivering insights from complex naval datasets to Commanders and decision makers.
Responsibilities
Design and maintain SQL‑based ETL processes to ingest, clean, and transform large datasets from disparate Navy legacy systems.
Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to extract data from Oracle or SQL Server databases.
Utilize scripting languages such as Python or R to automate data workflows and perform advanced data wrangling.
Ensure data integrity and quality assurance before visualizing results.
Develop interactive, dynamic dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik to track readiness, logistics, maintenance, and operational metrics.
Create executive‑level visualizations that simplify complex datasets for non‑technical leadership.
Optimize dashboard performance for low‑bandwidth environments when necessary.
Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost reduction or process improvement.
Collaborate with Navy stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
Document data dictionaries, schemas, and logic to maintain knowledge continuity.
Qualifications
3+ years of professional data analysis experience.
Hands‑on experience with Tableau or Power BI.
Proficiency in Python (Pandas/NumPy) or R for data manipulation.
Strong SQL skills, including joins, window functions, and stored procedures.
Secret clearance (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Navy enterprise systems such as DECKPLATE, OIMA, NDE, or ERP systems.
Top Secret clearance.
Clearance Applicants must have or be eligible for a Secret clearance. Top Secret clearance is an advantage and may be required for certain projects.
Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $77,600.00 – $176,000.00 (annualized USD). Full‑time employees eligible for Booz Allen’s benefits program, including health, life, disability, financial, and retirement benefits, paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and more.
