Overview
Insight Global is looking for a Network Engineer with a wireless background for one of our large healthcare clients. This individual will manage wireless tickets and requests through the ticketing system, call customers, assist with network issues, and troubleshoot problems. They will also work on projects to reassess hospital wireless zones with low signal and continue monitoring enterprise wireless, making changes through the change management process to provide the best experience.
Responsibilities
Day‑to‑day activities include handling wireless support tickets, troubleshooting client issues, reassessing low‑signal hospital zones, monitoring enterprise wireless, and recommending changes following the change management process.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in Network Engineering Wireless experience including
IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax (Wi‑Fi 6/6E) and Wi‑Fi 7 , cellular LTE, 5G NR,
Bluetooth, Zigbee, LoRaWAN , and MIMO & Beamforming Experience with the ROTOCOL Suite: MAC layer, management frames, roaming protocols Experience with DHCP, DNS, ARP, QoS and Voice over Wi‑Fi Enterprise background and controller platform experience (Cisco WLC, Aruba Mobility Controllers, Meraki Dashboard, Juniper Mist) Monitoring & management experience: SolarWinds (preferred), NetSpot, PRTG Knowledge of Spectrum Analysis Great customer support and communication
Additional Skills
Proficiency with Palo Alto technologies, including Panorama Administration, Firewall Administration Juniper Mist experience with AI tools Wireless Survey Tools: Ekahau, iBwave, AirMagnet Familiarity with Cisco routers (IOS 12.x) including RIP, OSPF, EIGRP, NAT/PAT
