Manager, IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity
This role is responsible for the management, engineering, and operational oversight of the Company Corporate IT infrastructure environment including both internal and cloud-based systems, in a working manager capacity. Areas of ownership include server, network, and cloud resourcing, infrastructure design and strategy, end user support effectiveness, the cybersecurity program and operations, general applications, systems administration capabilities, engineering, execution of projects, and maintenance of the information technology infrastructures for both corporate and field operational technology (OT) environments.
This position will implement and maintain infrastructure technology solutions within the overall architectural framework of The Anschutz Corporation (TAC), Anschutz Exploration Corporation's (AEC) parent entity. This position includes coordination with TAC personnel from a technology infrastructure, architecture, process, and policy standpoint.

Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $190,000.00/yr
Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Cloud infrastructure deployment and administration
Oversee and manage infrastructure (storage/compute/networks/etc.), ensuring functionality meets AEC business requirements
User Identity Access Management processes
Backup solution administration for OT environment
OT Infrastructure Automation solutions
Implement and manage other features as the needs and technology availability arise
SaaS and internal solution deployment
Deploy, integrate and administer various SaaS/PaaS solutions with existing company processes
Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations to leadership for implementation
Implement projects as required
Cybersecurity and risk management and administration
Lead cybersecurity deployment, strategy, and administration efforts in support of AEC’s cybersecurity requirements
Manage and administer OT corporate cybersecurity solutions. Oversee corporate cybersecurity solutions.
Regularly assess and improve the maturity of the AEC cybersecurity environment
Develop and implement AEC cybersecurity user training materials and related programs in coordination with AEC management and TAC personnel
Develop and implement company cybersecurity and risk management roadmaps
Maintain security and privacy of information systems
Develop long-term strategic road maps and strategies for your areas of accountability
Execute all managerial duties required for personnel in your reporting structure
Maintain and manage the relationship with TAC IT personnel with the objective of optimizing the AEC IT experience and process/project delivery
Manage projects both in-house, in coordination with TAC, and those involving vendors and managed service providers
Oversee and implement systems documentation and user training (both within the team and business users)
Budget and project planning
Support internal teams with operational support of enterprise applications and company processes, including troubleshooting, systems optimization, and other business-related needs
Develop relationships with AEC personnel across all departments, identifying business needs and working with AEC management to prioritize and support those needs
Administer security updates and software deployments of workstation and server infrastructure as required
Develop and maintain policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs and safety practices to assure compliance with all necessary rules, regulations and standards pertaining to technology operations
Travel up to 10%, typically driving to field locations
Experience and Education
15+ years’ experience in Information Technology Field; prior Oil and Gas E&P experience desired
10+ years’ experience administering and maintaining IT endpoint, server, and network infrastructure (both virtual and physical) in both on‑premises datacenters and in IaaS/PaaS/SaaS environments.
5+ years’ support IT systems in industrial (Oil and Gas field or manufacturing) environments preferred
5+ years’ experience managing employees, contractors, and third‑party personnel
2+ years’ managing enterprise IT security solutions
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and experience
Advanced working knowledge of computer information systems, operating systems, technical infrastructure and cybersecurity
Must be able to work in a dynamic team environment with multiple priorities and projects
Skills
Advanced proficiency in the Microsoft suite of products; including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Familiarity with Geotechnical software and oil & gas platforms helpful
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Aptitude to learn quickly and operate new technologies
Technical understanding and ability to manage complex server and cloud IT systems
Cloud infrastructure (servers, networks, storage, security, applications, and other tools) deployment, administration, and troubleshooting. Azure experience preferred.
Network administration experience including firewalls, routers, switches, and other devices
Cybersecurity program management
Managed service provider administration and oversight experience
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, set priorities and work under pressure
Able to safely lift 50 lb.

The starting rate for this position is expected to be between $150,000 - $190,000, based on experience, qualifications, and internal pay alignment. Final compensation may vary from this range depending on a variety of factors, including a candidate’s education, skills, prior experience, and evolving market conditions. This range represents Anschutz Exploration's good‑faith estimate of the pay for this role at the time of posting.
