As a Mobile Apps engineer, you will have the opportunity to use Amazon technologies from all over the company to build amazing products, which will be used directly by fans and industry professionals around the world. We are looking for a strong iOS Mobile App engineer to join our Apps Team and lead the effort of building engaging and personalized user experiences in our hugely popular apps including IMDb Movies & TV and IMDbPro.

Key job responsibilities

Develop new features for IMDb, working with your engineering team, product managers, and UX designers to build native iOS features that delight our customers.

Own customer facing features through the entire life‑cycle, from design, implementation, testing, deployment and into production.

Be comfortable going deep on a variety of areas such as video playback, advertising, and native app components as well as working with our API layer to define the next iteration of our schema to power our apps.

Maintain a high quality bar for our code and our customers. Optimize iOS apps for performance, reliability and security. Share ideas on how we can work more effectively.

Have opportunities to work on technical designs and implementations of backend services and APIs that power mobile app functionalities.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non‑internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

2+ years of Apple platform development experience

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
