Base pay range $188,000.00/yr - $256,000.00/yr
Our data centers are the foundation upon which our rapidly scaling infrastructure efficiently delivers Meta’s services. Meta’s Energy Team is seeking a commercially-experienced energy professional to help grow and manage our data center portfolio. This role will focus on building strategic energy partnerships and collaborating closely with the leasing team to shape and execute our energy strategy. The position is critical to ensuring a reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy supply across both regulated and organized markets.
Energy Manager (Leases and Partnerships) Responsibilities
Build and strengthen relationships with independent power providers, data center developers/lease providers, utilities, and other key stakeholders
Collaborate with legal teams to structure commercial agreements for strategic partnerships and support energy diligence and contracting for leasing arrangements that ensure reliable, cost-effective service
Work with the Site Selection team to evaluate powered land opportunities and identify new United States locations that are best positioned for near-term capacity and long-term growth
Coordinate with internal teams including engineering/design, site development, sustainability, network, policy, communications, construction, legal, and finance
Support the ongoing development and execution of Meta’s data center energy supply strategy
Lead and contribute to a variety of energy projects as business needs evolve
Travel domestically up to 25%
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, environmental science, energy, or a related field
Proven track record of representing business interests to executive leadership at suppliers, utilities, government agencies, and regulatory bodies
10+ years of experience addressing commercial energy challenges and forging long-term partnerships for large customer loads
Experience conducting due diligence and managing multiple large-scale projects
Working knowledge of transmission, distribution, and utility interconnection processes
