Senior System Engineer

Base pay range: $140,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr.
Key Responsibilities
Lead mission operations and systems integration activities for GPS space programs.
Support system-of-systems integration across space, ground, and user segments.
Drive mission readiness planning, including operational test and transition to operations.
Develop and manage integrated plans, schedules, and decision briefings.
Identify, manage, and mitigate risks across mission operations and integration efforts.
Serve as a technical liaison between government stakeholders and contractor teams.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Support integrated system testing for space, ground, and user systems.
Participate in and lead cross-functional systems engineering and integration meetings.
Develop operational acceptance and mission readiness documentation.
Manage interfaces, dependencies, and handoffs between system providers.
Contribute to systems engineering documentation and program artifacts.
Collaborate using engineering and program management tools such as Confluence and Jira.
Communicate program status, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Preferred Experience & Attributes
10+ years of experience in space systems engineering, integration, and testing.
10+ years of system-of-systems integration experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science.
Experience with mission readiness, operational testing, and transition planning.
Strong ability to lead and contribute in cross-functional environments.
Effective communicator with government and contractor partners.
Highly motivated with a strong commitment to the DoD mission.
Experience with GPS space, ground, or user segments preferred.
Experience with launch operations or satellite operations preferred.
Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle and systems engineering practices preferred.
Master’s degree or relevant certifications (PMP, ESEP, CSEP, OCSMP) preferred.
