Job/Practice Description:
Join a cohesive team of Pediatric Intensivists supporting a 10-bed PICU in a dedicated children's hospital
Flexible scheduling: approximately 14 twelve-hour shifts per month, designed collaboratively with the physician team
Responsibilities include PICU consults, admissions, procedures, and management of critically ill pediatric patients
Strong subspecialty support, including: (Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Neurology, Pediatric Cardiology, Pediatric Neurosurgery, and Pediatric Endocrinology)
Participation in academic and teaching activities through the affiliated medical school
Supportive leadership and a hospital culture focused on continuous improvement and excellence in patient care
Over 4,000 pediatric admissions annually
Dedicated pediatric emergency department and Level III NICU
State-of-the-art facilities designed specifically for children and families
Member of the Children's Hospital Association
Offers child life services, advanced pediatric imaging, and a family-centered care environment
Hospital-employed position
Requirements:
Board Certified / Board Eligible in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
Eligible for Michigan medical licensure
Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
Interest in teaching and mentoring medical students and residents
Strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.
