Position Summary Manager, Transaction Advisory – Financial Due Diligence
(Full‑time). The Manager will be a key contributor to the project management life cycle of financial due diligence engagements. This role may be based in any of our US offices: Boston, MA; New York, NY; Whippany, NJ; Princeton, NJ; Philadelphia, PA; Irvine, CA; Chicago, IL; Tysons Corner, VA; or Houston, TX.
Key Responsibilities
Managing multiple work streams concurrently.
Coordinating financial due diligence engagements and collaborating with client management on diligence focus areas.
Communicating real‑time updates on issues and deal considerations.
Participating in discussions on business performance, forecasting assumptions, and valuation matters.
Supporting analysis of target financial data for quality of earnings, working capital, and cash‑flow points.
Preparing findings and recommendations in transaction reports.
Identifying integration, separation, and post‑transaction transition issues.
Collaborating on the development of M&A best practices.
Analyzing financial and operational results through accounting reviews, driver analysis, and management interviews.
Researching industry trends and seasonality to inform client insights.
Utilizing tools and technology to analyze datasets and create visualizations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and 5+ years of M&A work experience; active CPA or CPA in progress preferred.
Experience with a large professional services firm or public accounting firm.
High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on active listening and follow‑up.
Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
Effective prioritization skills and adaptability to new challenges.
Working knowledge of US GAAP.
Long‑term commitment to a dynamic team environment.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 40% on short notice.
Experience in M&A transactions and established networking skills in a relevant industry.
Compensation and Benefits Base compensation varies by location For California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, D.C., or New York City, the range is $130,000–$165,000. Additional benefits include a competitive benefits package and a bonus program based on individual and firm performance.
