Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Altoona, PA for an Optometrist/Ophthalmologist. The role involves conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing ocular conditions, prescribing corrective lenses, and providing pre and post‑operative care for surgeries. The professional will collaborate closely with a team of skilled healthcare providers to ensure patients receive the best possible eye care outcomes. Maintaining accurate patient records and staying updated on advancements in eye care treatments and technology will also be key responsibilities.
Qualifications
Expertise in conducting eye exams, prescribing corrective lenses, and detecting visual and ocular health conditions
Experience in diagnosing and managing eye diseases and providing pre/post‑operative care
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to provide excellent patient care and collaborate with team members
Proficiency with diagnostic tools and technology used in eye care
Doctor of Optometry (OD) or Medical Doctor (MD) degree with board certification or eligibility
Valid license to practice optometry or ophthalmology in Pennsylvania
Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on advancements in the field
Experience in a similar clinical setting is an advantage but not required
