Summary:

Cares for patients with skin, hair, nail and mucous membrane conditions either as primary dermatologic diseases or secondary to other diseases, including eczema, psoriasis, infections and skin cancer.

Perform dermatopathology techniques including light and electron microscopy, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence in a dedicated laboratory and pathology department in collaboration with a partner pathology team.

Job Description:

Perform required procedures such as minor skin surgeries, excisions or biopsies.

Prescribe therapies including topical therapies, oral medications, biologics and other treatments for skin conditions.

Perform limited Mohs surgery on indicated lesions, within the scope of training.

Direct and perform surgical after‑care.

Work part time in a dedicated clinical laboratory/pathology department (fractional time is negotiable).

Participate in development and maintenance of clinical pathways in coordination with other specialties to provide highly reliable, high‑quality care for patients.

Participate in quality improvement work.

Provide review of cases referred to the medical staff’s peer review committee on an ad hoc basis.

Participate in recruitment and retention of physicians and APCs to the practice.

Additional Job Description:

M.D./D.O. with residency training in an approved ACGME Dermatology program.

Completion of an ACGME approved dermatopathology program.

Board eligible or certified in Dermatology and Dermatopathology.
